Ideas cannot be fought except by means of better ideas. The battle consists not of opposing, but of exposing; not of denouncing, but of disproving; not of evading, but of boldly proclaiming in a full, consistent and radical alternative.
We belong to the state of Gujarat and we understand the free spirit that Gujarat represents in the Indian Union. Gujarat is a prosperous and enterprising society in a largely socialist nation where free enterprise and growth had been stifled by bureaucratic redtape and corruption. In a country where government had become synonymous with inefficiency and impotence, Gujarat stood out as a beacon of hope. This is nothing in short of extraordinary achievement on the part of visionaries who have been at the helm of governance.
And as we ready ourselves to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of Gujarat, we express our pride and solidarity with the members of the Gujarati community who have given so much to the nation.
We are a group of individuals who believe in the Indian democracy and the fundamental right to free speech to channel and facilitate the flow of ideas and innovation for a free and prosperous society.
This group is principally opposed to the Bombay Prohibition Act that prohibits the sale, purchase and consumption of alcoholic drinks in the state of Gujarat. We advocate for a systematic dismantling of the Prohibitory structure that breeds corruption and crime in the society.
