Got Beer?
So why do we like beer? A wise man once said, “Here’s to alcohol – the source of and the solution to – all life’s problems.”
I used to wonder what beer would taste like since I was a teenager. I knew it must taste great because everybody loved it! But how great exactly? My curiosity only grew with time but I never tried drinking it because it was banned by the government.
So, while in Singapore last year, I finally tasted the forbidden brew. It got me happy and content. My heart went out to the citizens of Ahmedabad who couldn’t guiltlessly enjoy an ice-cold mug of beer because someone in the government decided that they knew what was best for people.
Beer has been around as long as we have had civilization and it comes in thousands of varieties of awesome. And without a doubt it is the greatest invention in the history of mankind. The biggest killer on this planet is stress, and beer is like a medicine that helps alleviate it. It should be celebrated and not demonized. It is time people stood up for themselves and demanded what is theirs to take.
Oh, and by the way, a report published in the United Kingdom highlights the findings of the largest studies ever conducted on the link between alcohol and heart diseases, vindicating drinkers around the world. Don’t take my word for it, read it yourself.
