Irrespective of whether it was because of Gandhian ideology that the state has a prohibition, every gujarati would surely know that liquor is as easily available in the state as anywhere else. Then, why in the name of some principles do they want to make it appear as if they are the "pure" state? Perphaps, people need to change the notion that drinking is some kind of a "social evil" as they are taught.. let each individual make their own decision rather than the state...It is perphaps not a vice to make liquor “legal” in the state.
